ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirement
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required, 3 years preferred
• Travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• California RN licensure required
• Demonstrate understanding of evidence-based practice, pathophysiology, pharmacological implications, and regulatory issues
• Accurately and thoroughly document assessments and perform clinical procedures including IV, Foley, and dressings
• Provide effective patient and family education
• Utilize tele monitoring, IV, and ventilator equipment and administer medications safely
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform skills including arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, intubation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, triage, and phlebotomy
• Manage conditions including acute psychosis, CVA, drug overdose, seizures, traumatic brain injury, and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Work within an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services
• Act as a patient advocate and role model safety behaviors
• Report errors and near misses and maintain professional appearance
