About this role
St. Luke's Boise Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join its acute care team on a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 8, 2026.
Position Overview
You will work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required. Holiday work may be required if scheduled during your assignment. There are no on-call or standby call requirements. As a first-to-float position, you may be assigned to St. Luke's Boise Medical Center, Meridian Medical Center, or Nampa Medical Center.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Manage 36–42 treatments per 12-hour shift (approximately 12–14 treatments every 4 hours)
- Handle all respiratory therapy equipment, treatments, and patient transport
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and analysis
- Assist with intubation under supervision; will not perform independently
- Work with adult patients across all floors, pediatric patients, and NICU patients
Equipment & Systems
You will manage Dräger ventilators for adults, Servo U ventilators for pediatrics, V60 BiPAPs, Vapotherm high-flow systems, Optiflow (NICU and PICU), Philips Cough Assist, ResMed home CPAP, and HillRom Vest machines with Metaneb systems. Experience with NAVA (Naturally Adjusted Ventilatory Assist) on Servo ventilators is required if assigned to NICU coverage. Charting occurs in EPIC.
Requirements
- RRT preferred; CRT accepted with 3–5 years of experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience if RRT; minimum 3–5 years if CRT
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS
- BSN not required
Compensation & Schedule
Weekly pay is $2,255.04. Wear any color scrubs that are clean and professional.
