Respiratory Therapist Job in Meridian, ID

St Lukes Meridian Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 10, 2026. You will work 3x12-hour evening shifts (11:00 AM–11:30 PM) with the flexibility to cover variable shift options including days and nights as needed.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver 25–28 respiratory treatments per 8-hour shift equivalent across adult, pediatric, and NICU populations
• Perform ABGs (radial or brachial access), initiate all respiratory treatments, and manage patients on respiratory equipment
• Assist with intubation procedures (independent intubation not required)
• Cover ER, inpatient floors, PACU, and overnight oximetry monitoring
• Float between NICU Level IIB, MICU, pediatrics, adult care, geriatrics, telemetry, and ER as needed
• Optional call/standby shifts available via text list with 30-minute response time

Scheduling & Flexibility

• Self-scheduling with travelers signing up last to fill permanent staff gaps
• Every-other-weekend requirement; nights cover Friday–Saturday, days cover Saturday–Sunday
• May be asked to rotate shifts, trade shifts, and participate in holiday rotations
• Block scheduling not accommodated
• Possible float to sister facilities within Treasure Valley (10–14 miles) with minimum 60-minute notice

Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years respiratory therapy experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, PALS (AHA), STABLE, and RRT (CRT not accepted)
• Preferred experience with Level II NICU, delivery room support, and CPAP initiation

Equipment & Systems

• Work with Drager V500, Hamilton, ReVel, V60s, Vapotherm, and EPOC equipment
• Charting via EPIC

Orientation

1–2 shifts with a preceptor, typically 1 day covering NICU/general respiratory and 1 day in ICU settings.

Compensation & Details

Weekly pay: $2,479. Any color scrubs acceptable; professional appearance required.
