About this role
St Lukes Boise Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required and holiday work as scheduled. There are no on-call or standby requirements.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver 36–42 treatments per 12-hour shift (12–14 per 4-hour cycle)
- Care for adult, pediatric, and Level III NICU patient populations
- Manage all respiratory equipment, treatments, transport, and arterial blood gas (ABG) collection
- Assist with intubations as directed; independent intubation is not required
- Operate Draeger ventilators for adults, Servo U for pediatrics, V60 BiPAPs, Vapotherm high flow, Optiflow for NICU and PICU, Philips Cough Assist, ResMed home CPAP, HillRom Vest, and Hill-Rom Metaneb
- Demonstrate proficiency with NAVA (Naturally Adjusted Ventilatory Assist) on Cervo ventilators when assigned to NICU
Unit Assignments
RTs covering pediatric floors will also manage adult patients; however, RTs on adult floors will not cross-cover pediatrics. You may float to Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center. Chart using EPIC. Overtime may be available.
Requirements
- RRT preferred with 2–3 years of respiratory therapy experience; CRT accepted with 3–5 years of experience
- For adult care: BLS and ACLS certification
- For pediatric care: BLS and PALS certification
- For NICU care: BLS and NRP certification
Compensation
You'll earn $2,255.04 per week. Assignment begins September 14, 2026, and runs 91 days. Wear any clean, professional scrub color.
