OR RN Scrub/Circulate Job in Windsor, VT

Join Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center as an Operating Room RN in Windsor, VT. This 91-day travel assignment offers a 32-hour weekly guarantee at $2,820 per week, working a 5x8 day shift schedule.

Role Overview

You will function in both circulating and scrubbing capacities across a surgical services department with 2 operating rooms and a procedure room. This role primarily involves outpatient procedures with limited inpatient cases, serving patients ages 16 and older, including adult and geriatric populations.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care across general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain management, and endoscopy procedures
• Work in Phase I/PACU settings as needed
• Maintain proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating with current specialty skill checklists
• Document care using the Cerner EMR system

On-Call Commitment

Weekday on-call is required 2–3 days per week with a one-hour callback time. Weekend on-call is required 1 weekend per month with a one-hour callback time. You must be willing to work during major holiday blocks including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's if scheduled.

Requirements

• Current Vermont state RN license
• Minimum 2–5 years of OR experience
• Cataract surgery experience (non-negotiable)
• Demonstrated experience in smaller OR facilities
• Multiple surgical service line experience
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Cerner EMR experience
• Travel experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred
• Own vehicle required—the area has no public transportation

Additional Information

Hospital-provided scrubs are included. All requested time off must be noted and verified at the time of upload; RTO requests submitted after upload will not be approved. A maximum of 5 days of RTO is permitted during the assignment.
