Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position
• Must be able to work in PICU, NICU, and Pediatric ER
• Perform patient assessments and institute respiratory care plans
• Respond to emergency codes (Code Blue and White)
• Perform airway management including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning
• Administer aerosolized drugs and manage ventilator setup and operation
• Manage airway support devices including BiPAP and CPAP devices
• Operate oxygen delivery devices and perform therapeutic monitoring
• Perform chest film analysis, blood gas collection and analysis, and EKG analysis
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation
• Clean and stock equipment and supplies as necessary
• May function as Shift Leader or Team Leader
• Advanced practice skills may include therapeutic gas management, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, and transport duties
• 1-3 years of experience preferred
• Texas RT or RCP license required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by NBRC required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all AHA only), and NRP
