ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Option to sign for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratio is 4:1 with occasional flex to 5:1; low acuity areas may be 6:1 and other areas 2:1 or 3:1
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Friday through Sunday weekend block schedule available; no block schedule available on weekdays
• Mid shift will be assigned primarily to fast track and rapid medical evaluation areas as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Minimum 3 years of experience required; candidates with 2-3 years of experience may be considered with Level I trauma center experience and at least one travel assignment
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Must pass Relias EKG exam prior to starting
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must be proficient with blood product administration, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, phlebotomy, arterial line management, central line care, BiPAP/CPAP management, procedural sedation, and triage
• Experience with trauma, behavioral health, stroke, and cardiac patients required
• Must frequently staff in the behavioral health ED pod
• Patients served include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Must bring own stethoscope and trauma shears
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract
