MICU RN Job in Nashville, TN

Opportunity:

RN - MICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 31-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• Patient ratios of 2:1, with occasional 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing
• Unit secretary staffed during day shift with occasional nurse extern working as a tech
• Work with equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000
• Document using Meditech documentation system
• Minimum weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Schedule done in 4-week increments with self-scheduling available
• Manager will adjust shifts to balance the schedule
• Contract labor is first to float; may be expected to float to med/surg and take full assignment if needed
• Perform or assist with procedures including insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Active RN license required
• ICU experience required
• Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
