Special Procedures Technologist Job in Des Moines, IA

Join UnityPoint – Iowa Methodist Medical Center as a Special Procedures Technologist specializing in Interventional Radiology (IR). This 91-day travel assignment offers day shift work on a 4x10 schedule, with an on-call component of 1–2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend (7:00 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday).

Role Overview

You will support approximately 25 vascular cases per day in a high-volume interventional radiology environment. Your responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring patients throughout procedures with a focus on vascular interventions and peripheral vascular work.

Required Experience & Credentials

• 12 months of vascular procedure experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• Documented scrub, circulate, and monitor experience
• Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• Current or prior experience supporting Operating Room procedures
• Peripheral vascular experience required
• Active ARRT (R) certification
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT (CI or VI) certification
• Iowa Radiology license
• Level I trauma experience
• RCIS/CCI certification
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within 24 months

Weekly pay: $3,369.60
