Special Procedures Technologist Job in Des Moines, IA

You'll work as a Special Procedures Technologist in the Interventional Radiology department at UnityPoint - Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 31, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform scrub, circulate, and monitor duties in an interventional radiology setting
• Support approximately 25 vascular cases per day
• Manage on-call responsibilities: every 3rd evening and every 3rd weekend

Schedule and Compensation

You'll work a 4x10 rotating shift pattern at $3,472 per week.

Required Qualifications

• 12 months of current interventional vascular or IR lab experience
• Demonstrated scrub, circulate, and monitor experience
• Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• Current or prior experience supporting Operating Room procedures
• Peripheral vascular experience
• Active ARRT (R) certification
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Skills checklist specific to interventional vascular/IR lab discipline
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT (CI or VI) certification
• Level I trauma experience
• Iowa Radiology license (licensing candidates will be considered)
• RCIS or CCI certification
