Special Procedures Technologist in Cedar Rapids, IA

UnityPoint - St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist for Interventional Radiology (IR). This is a temporary position on a 4x9 day shift schedule, starting October 26, 2026, for a 91-day assignment. You will earn $3,016 per week.

Role Overview

You will support interventional vascular and IR procedures in a hospital setting. Your responsibilities include assisting with patient care, managing equipment, and maintaining the technical and clinical standards required in an IR lab environment.

Required Qualifications

• 24 months of interventional vascular/IR lab experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Valid driver's license
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
• Skills checklist specific to interventional vascular/IR lab discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Iowa Radiology license (highly preferred; candidates in process of obtaining licensure will be considered)
• Cardiac Cath Lab/CCL experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• Experience and proficiency in Endovascular procedures
• Experience with thrombolytics
• RCIS/CCI or ARRT certification
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months

Schedule & Expectations

You will work a 4x9 day shift. On-call coverage is required, with an expected 6-8 days per month including every 4th or 5th weekend based on staffing needs. You are required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed.
