Telemetry RN Job in Indianapolis, IN

IU Health Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry position in Indianapolis, IN. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 10, 2026, with 3x12 night shifts at $2,047.68 per week.

Role Overview

You will care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular surgical, peripheral vascular surgical, arrhythmia, endocarditis, and CHF exacerbation diagnoses. Night shift patient ratios are 1:5–6. You must be flexible with weekend requirements, working 50% of weekends during your contract.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• BLS certification
• Not a local Indiana resident

Required Clinical Skills

• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• Heparin protocols
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Oxygen administration
• Peripheral line care and management
• Pre- and post-cardiac surgery care
• Starting and maintaining IVs

Preferred Skills

• Telemetry monitoring expertise
• IV starts
• Cerner charting system experience

Additional Expectations

You may be assigned to float to different levels of care including Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU at both University and Methodist Hospitals. Refusal to float may result in contract termination. Charge nurse responsibilities may be required based on operational needs, with training provided. You must be willing to precept and supervise students shadowing your work. Called-in contracted shifts must be made up during the pay period or added to the end of your contract.
