Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Wausau, WI

Join Aspirus Wausau Hospital as a Certified Surgical Technologist on our Labor & Delivery team. This 13-week contract offers you the opportunity to work in a focused surgical environment supporting obstetric care.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• $2,101 weekly pay
• Every 3rd weekend required; blackout dates for Christmas and New Year's
• On-call shifts rarely requested

Your Role

You will provide scrub tech and CNA support in a single operating room dedicated to Labor & Delivery. Your responsibilities include:

• Scrubbing and assisting with planned and emergent C-section cases (average 3–4 cases per day)
• Assisting with vaginal deliveries and circumcision procedures, including setup and takedown
• Utilizing the Jada system for hemorrhage management
• Providing CNA support between cases: vital signs, ambulating patients, stocking, and baby baths
• Assisting with transport from room to operating room

Requirements

• Graduate of a certified surgical technologist program
• Minimum 1 year experience in an OB setting (first-time travelers must have 2 years)
• Current BLS certification and CST license (NBSTSA or NCCT accepted)
• AHA or ARC certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• High School Diploma
