PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work on a Progressive Care Neuro Trauma unit with 23 beds
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Day shift staffing includes 6-7 RNs and 2 aides; night shift staffing includes 6-7 RNs and 2 aides
• Work with equipment including bedside monitors, end tidal O2 monitoring, high flow, chronic vents, and subdural drains
• EMR system: Meditech
• Telemetry step-down experience required
• Neuro experience preferred
• Trauma experience preferred
• Typical procedures include chest tubes and EEGs
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS and TNCC
• Team-oriented personality required
• No specific scrub color required; professional attire expected
• Every other weekend required; no on-call requirement
• Float to all inpatient units including ICU and ED
