PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work on a Progressive Care Neuro Trauma unit on the 4th floor
• 23-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Day shift: 6-7 RNs and 2 Aides; Night shift: 6-7 RNs and 2 Aides
• Work with equipment including bedside monitors, end tidal O2 monitoring, high flow, chronic vents, and subdural drains
• Perform procedures including chest tubes and EEGs
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Must have telemetry and step-down experience
• Neuro and trauma experience preferred
• Float to all inpatient units including ICU and ED as needed
• Work every other weekend with no on-call requirement
• No specific scrub color required; professional attire expected
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
• Active nursing license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS and TNCC
• Team-oriented personality is the best fit for this unit
