CT Technologist Job in Bakersfield, CA

You will work as a CT Technologist at Mercy Hospital Southwest in Bakersfield, California on a 91-day travel assignment. This role offers the chance to expand your imaging expertise in a fast-paced hospital environment while earning $2,890.80 per week.

Schedule & Expectations

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week, Friday through Sunday, 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On-call responsibilities with 30-minute response time
• Holiday coverage includes one major and one minor holiday per assignment
• Up to four shifts may be cancelled per 13-week period

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform approximately 65 CT studies daily, including brain, abdomen, pelvis, spine, biopsies, drainage, extremities, angiography, and cryoablation procedures
• Operate Canon 16-slice and 64-slice CT equipment
• Use Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems with Cerner charting
• May be floated to the downtown location approximately 6.5 miles away when coverage is needed
• IV starts handled by interventional radiology nurses as required

Requirements

• Allied Health Professional degree
• Minimum two years CT technologist experience
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT-CT certification
• California CTI certification
• Manager interview required

Work Environment

Teal scrubs required for dress code. You will join a team in a hospital setting where you perform high-volume imaging studies with modern equipment and established PACS and charting systems. Assignment begins June 8, 2026.
