Opportunity:

PT - Physical Therapist Inpatient

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend requirements
• Work in a rural acute hospital setting
• Utilize Epic EMR system
• Evaluate patients referred for physical therapy using specialized testing procedures and skills
• Assess patient strength, range of motion, coordination, perception, sensation, ambulation, transfers, bed mobility, and rehabilitation potential
• Develop individualized physical therapy plans of care directed toward short and long term goals
• Perform treatments in a safe and timely manner with involvement of staff and family members when indicated
• Complete medical documentation in accordance with APTA standards of care
• Supervise operation of specific treatment team and meet regularly with PTAs to discuss patients and set goals
• Perform evidence-based care and seek out research to support interventions
• Assist in adjusting schedules to accommodate changes in departmental caseload
• Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe work area
• Attend and participate in services, meetings, and educational sessions
• New graduates with acute hospital clinical rotation experience will be considered
