ICU RN Float Pool Job in Geneva, NY

Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time float pool position in the Intensive Care Unit. You will work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on a 3x12 schedule, providing care across multiple units and patient populations.

Role Responsibilities:

• Float to multiple units including ICU, Emergency Room, Med/Surg, and Med/Surg Telemetry
• Deliver age-appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Work every other weekend and holiday rotations
• Participate in 2 on-call shifts per 4-week period
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Required Qualifications:

• Current NYS Registered Nurse license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care units
• Critical care experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or RQI system)
• NIHSS certification
• Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work across multiple clinical units with flexibility and cross-training readiness

Preferred Qualifications:

• Emergency Nurses Association certification
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 2 years

Compensation and Duration:

This is a 94-day assignment with a weekly pay rate of $2,272. Assignment begins November 18, 2026. Facility location: 196 North St, Geneva, NY.
