About this role
St Lukes Boise Medical Center is seeking an RN (Registered Nurse) for a Telemetry position. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three shifts per week, for 91 days beginning September 28, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,372.
Role Overview
This is a float pool position covering Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, and Telemetry units across multiple facilities in Boise, Meridian, and Nampa (each approximately 20 minutes apart). Unit assignment is provided via app about 1 hour before your shift starts. You may be floated mid-shift to different units and facilities as needed. Every other weekend and holiday coverage are required. There is no on-call or standby requirement.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Independently read and interpret telemetry strips
- Titrate drips including cardizem, amiodarone, nitro, heparin, and insulin
- Manage patients with post-op, ortho, neuro, satellite tele, oncology, CVA/TIA, chest pain, abdominal pain, and CHF diagnoses
- Work within nurse-to-patient ratios: ED 1:4, Medical/Surgical 1:5
- Collaborate with nurse aides and patient care techs (ratios 1:8–10 depending on floor and day)
Requirements
- Current Idaho RN license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Telemetry specialty
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience with cardizem, amiodarone, and nitro drips
- ED experience preferred
- Active ACLS (AHA or ARC) and BLS (AHA or ARC) certifications
Facility Details
Charge nurses are present on all units with float pool assistant managers on call 24/7. Charting is performed in EPIC. Scrubs must be clean and professional with no specific color requirement. Block scheduling is attempted but not guaranteed. You may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
