Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position with float requirement to Med-Surg
• Shift options available: 8 and 10-hour shifts with 40 guaranteed hours per workweek, 3 x 12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per workweek, or 4 x 12-hour shifts with 48 guaranteed hours per workweek
• Weekend coverage required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Patient ratios of 3-4 patients for days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required skills: Central line care/management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, titration of cardiac drips
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Common patient diagnoses include MI, post cardiac arrest, A-fib RVR, sepsis, CHF exacerbation, hypertensive emergency, DKA, and S/P PCI and ablation
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Indiana state license must be in hand prior to submission
