Electrophysiology Technologist - EP Tech

Job Details:

• Primarily day shifts with some late night/evening shifts and on-call responsibilities per unit needs
• Schedule is either 4x10 or 3x12 hour shifts
• Provide assistance to the Electrophysiologist during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implants
• Implement EP pacing monoverses and demonstrate understanding of EP pacing concepts
• Operate GE (MacLab & CardioLab) system to assist in pacing monoverse and measurements
• Assist in setup for ablation systems including Carto, Abbott, Opal, and Affera
• Document procedures using Epic electronic health record system (Epic experience preferred but not required)
• Communicate with MD and in-room staff to ensure all equipment and supplies are available
• Facilitate room turnover and on-time starts for timely patient care
• Coordinate with Charge Nurse and third-party vendors to ensure team availability for scheduled procedures
• Perform or assist with PFA and RF ablations, cryo ablations, A-fib/flutter, atrial tach, AVNRT, WPW, and other AVNRT ablations
• Assist with device implants including traditional pacemakers, ICDs, sub-Q ICDs, leadless pacemakers, loop recorders, and LAAC devices such as Watchman and Amulet
• Assist with HRE procedures including laser and low-risk cases
• Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience preferred but not required
• GE (MacLab & CardioLab) system experience preferred but not required
• Bloom Stimulator experience preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required license: RCES, Radiologic Tech license, or RN License (NY only)
• Required certification: BLS (American Heart Association only)
