ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Rotating shift schedule with weekend coverage required
• 2:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• 22-bed ICU unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only accepted)
• Active PA or Compact license required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be willing to float within the hospital as needed
• Must be willing to float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Key clinical skills required include: arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, management of dysrhythmias, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, blood product administration, interpretation of arterial blood gases, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services
