About this role

You will work as an RN in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Mission Hospital's Heart Tower in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of June 15, 2026.

Position Details:

  • Shift: 4x10 days, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Weekly pay: $3,212
  • Unit: 6 operating rooms dedicated to cardiovascular surgery

Your Role:

You will function primarily as an RN Circulator. Extensive expertise and experience in the circulator role is required. Scrub and first assist experience and proficiency are preferred but not required. In cases involving pump procedures, you may be asked to serve as first assist or Heart Holder alongside the scrub nurse and circulator.

Procedures and Cases:

The unit performs a wide range of cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, including CABG, valve replacement, VAD insertions, TAVR, VATS, lobectomy, pacemaker and AICD insertions, septal myectomy, Ross procedure, EVH, IABP insertions, femoral cannulation, and circulatory arrest cases.

Unit Environment:

Each case requires one scrub nurse and one circulator. Additional support includes a Unit Secretary, Charge Nurse, PCA, and Core Tech. You will use Cerner for documentation and Stryker equipment. On-call shifts will be assigned and rotated among staff. You may float to other units if needed, though this is infrequent.

Requirements and Support:

  • Active RN license
  • BLS certification
  • Hospital will provide scrubs; surgical attire policy must be followed

If you have strong circulator experience in cardiovascular surgery and are ready for a focused operating room role, we'd like to hear from you.
