ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement
• Work in 10-bed ICU unit with 2:1 or 3:1 patient ratios
• 2 years of hospital experience required, with 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• Must have Kentucky license or compact license at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and current NIH certification (must be renewed annually)
• Work with Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, and glucometers
• Use Meditech Expanse documentation system
• May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED as needed
• Unit staffed with Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs
• Preferred advanced skills include chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusions, and ventilator management
• Perform procedures including telemetry monitoring, physician-led paracentesis, BiPap, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Required skills include CPap and BiPap management, port access, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Navy or gray scrubs required
• Unit utilizes GroupMe for communication and staff coordination
