Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts Friday through Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• On-call and holiday requirements per unit needs
• 2-3 on-call shifts per month required
• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing
• Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, including identifying images and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Minimum 6 months of Siemens Scanner experience required
• NYS licensure required prior to starting position, including injection therapy certification stated on license at time of submission
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required
• Telemetry required
• ARRT certification required with completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
• Epic experience (1 year) highly desired
• Injection certification preferred; must be willing to complete during orientation process
• Effective written and verbal communication skills required
• Must be a team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment
