Med/Surg RN Job in Wichita, KS

You will work as an RN on a Med/Surg unit at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of September 7, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (days)

Role Details

The Med/Surg unit has a focus in Oncology and General Surgery care with a diverse patient population. You will provide standard Med/Surg nursing care procedures. The unit operates with a primary nursing care model. Patient ratio is estimated at 1:5 and is never guaranteed.

Vital signs are performed every 8 hours for standard patients; remote telemetry patients receive vital signs every 4 hours. The unit includes a remote telemetry component. Chemotherapy administration is performed on the unit. Chemotherapy can only be hung and handled by chemo-certified nurses.

Technology and Systems

• EMR system: Meditech
• iPhone nursing system for care team communication

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital Med/Surg experience
• BLS certification required
• Chemo certification preferred
• ACLS preferred

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,349
