Job Details:

• Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call required 2 days per week and every other weekend
• Must respond to call within 30 minutes
• Outpatient ultrasound experience will be considered
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sonographer required; 2 years preferred
• Must be a graduate of an Ultrasound/Sonography program
• Required certifications: ARDMS, ARRT (S), and BLS/CPR
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Perform sonography exams in the department, surgery, emergency department, and patient floors
• Provide quality imaging of patients to aid in diagnosis and continuum of care
• Assist Radiologist with exams
• Perform specialized procedures including ultrasound guided breast biopsy, thyroid biopsy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Operate Siemens ultrasound equipment with appropriate transducers for various patient populations
• See patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Average daily census of 350 within the Radiology department with approximately 40 visits per day
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure
