Job Details:

• Work under the guidance of Registered Nurses to ensure patient care and safety during surgical procedures
• Provide technical assistance in the Operating Room with knowledge of patients across all age groups
• Prepare surgical rooms with nursing staff in a timely and organized manner
• Practice correct principles of asepsis and maintain sterile fields during procedures
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize all equipment in OR and Endoscopic Lab
• Coordinate patient care with RN Circulator throughout surgical procedures
• Stock and replace Central Supply items and prepare inventory sheets
• Assist physicians during surgical procedures with correct instrumentation organized and available
• Follow verbal physician orders in the operating suite
• Handle surgical specimens and compile necessary equipment on surgical field
• Document unusual occurrence reports and other departmental forms as required
• Perform CPR as needed and use all applicable instruments and equipment proficiently
• Clean and wrap instruments for sterilization processes
• Transport patients to and from OR and monitor surgical equipment maintenance and repairs
• Complete duties as technical scrub in OR and prepare rooms and equipment for Endoscopy procedures
• Maintain cooperative disposition within the OR environment
• Out-of-state travelers preferred unless in-state candidates exceed 250-mile radius
