Special Procedures Technologist in Olney, MD

You will work as a Special Procedures Technologist in the Interventional Radiology department at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Maryland. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 5x8 day shift: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; Wednesday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Weekly pay: $3,101
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Every other holiday required

Your Role

You will scrub for interventional radiology, vascular, and pain management procedures. You will assist with interventional procedures including tunneled catheter placements (mediports, permacaths, Hickman lines), embolizations, drain placements, suprapubic catheter placements, PEG tube placements, and Pleurx catheter placements. You will also support pain management procedures such as epidural blocks and radiofrequency ablations, as well as vascular procedures including angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, and IVC filter placements. Patients served include adults and geriatrics.

You will operate the Philips Azurion C-arm and portable C-arm. The unit handles cases in both CT and X-ray; floating to these areas is not required unless accompanying the team for a case.

Requirements

• 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• Travel experience required
• Maryland license
• ARRT-R, ACLS, BLS, and Fluoro Permit certifications
• Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
