PACU RN Job in Tucson, Arizona

You will work as an RN in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at BUMC Tucson, located at 1625 N Campbell Ave. This is an 89-day travel assignment starting October 5, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,434.

Schedule and Shift Details

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Flex start times at either 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM, based on scheduled cases
• Monday through Friday schedule with varying days off; may include rotating weekends
• No on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Perform physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural assessments
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory results; report abnormal findings to appropriate caregivers
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members as appropriate
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a timely and legible manner
• Address discharge planning needs for each patient

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in the state of practice
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience
• Previous travel healthcare experience required
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
