Physical Therapist Job in Washington, DC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health position with MedStar Health Home Care in Washington, DC. This 91-day assignment begins May 4, 2026.

Position Details

• 5x8 shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Home health physical therapy serving adult and geriatric patients
• Approximately 6 patient visits per day
• Use your personal vehicle for patient visits; mileage reimbursed at $0.58 per mile from first to last patient of the day
• No call or weekend requirements

Requirements

• DC Physical Therapist license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
• Homecare Homebase and OASIS experience required
• Reliable personal vehicle with valid licensure and insurance
• First-time travelers welcome if OASIS experience is demonstrated

Clinical Skills

You will work with patients across orthopedics, COPD/CHF care, and geriatric populations. Your clinical toolkit will include adaptive and assistive device training, gait belt use, body mechanics instruction, pain assessment, home exercise program development, and patient and family education.

Work Environment

You will chart using HomeCare HomeBase and Pointcare EMR systems. You may be asked to float to another zip code within the coverage area based on staffing needs. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes interpretation services and social services to support comprehensive patient care.

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,161.44
