Physical Therapist Job in Washington, DC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist for home health services with MedStar Health Home Care in Washington, DC. This 91-day travel assignment begins May 11, 2026.

Position Details

• Work 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Provide direct physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in their homes
• Conduct approximately 6 patient visits per day
• Use your personal vehicle for travel between patient locations with mileage reimbursement at $0.58 per mile from first to last patient
• No call or weekend requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid DC physical therapy license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience (first-time travelers accepted if OASIS-experienced)
• Homecare Homebase and OASIS experience required
• Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance
• Reliable personal transportation

Key Responsibilities

You will assess patient function and develop individualized treatment plans covering adaptive devices, assistive devices, body mechanics training, gait training with belt use, home exercise programs, orthopedic rehabilitation, pain assessment, and patient and family education. You will work with patients managing conditions including COPD and CHF while promoting skin integrity and overall functional independence.

Work Environment

You may float to cover another zip code within the service area based on staffing needs. The facility provides access to interpretation services and social services support to enhance patient care coordination.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,161.44 plus mileage reimbursement.
