Med Surg RN Job in Tahlequah, OK

Cherokee Nation W. W. Hastings Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for our Medical-Surgical unit. This is a night shift position offering 12-hour shifts with an 89-day contract starting August 17, 2026. You'll earn $2,007.72 per week.

Position Requirements:

• Valid Oklahoma or Compact/Multi-State RN License
• Minimum 3 years of registered nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Ability to work with pediatric patients

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop individualized plans of care by interviewing patients and families, reviewing health records, and determining required health and physical care including discharge planning
• Initiate appropriate emergency measures when physician is not immediately available, including resuscitative measures in cases of cardiac or respiratory arrest
• Administer therapeutic measures prescribed by physicians, including medications, IV therapy, respiratory therapy, and mechanical ventilation
• Plan, provide, and document patient and family teaching in preventative, curative, and rehabilitative measures
• Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and status of coordinated activities
• Evaluate and update patient progress toward care outcomes, including response to nursing and therapeutic interventions
• Provide technical guidance, delegation, and direction to other registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and unlicensed personnel
• Assume oversight for patient care administered by licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel
• Maintain knowledge and competency reflecting current nursing practice

Physical and Professional Requirements:

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
