PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Day shift position working 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 48-hour guarantee will be considered
• Work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Float pool position requiring willingness to float between departments and four facilities
• Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the registered nurse scope of practice
• Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills
• This unit is a step down in acuity from ICU - must be able to handle cardiac drips and be familiar with TAVRs and Watchman mitral clips at a minimum
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Scrub color: Any color
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Arizona nursing license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
