PCU RN Job in Glendale, AZ

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a travel nursing assignment running for 89 days, starting November 16, 2026.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3x12 Days (three 12-hour day shifts per week)
• Weekly Pay: $2,541
• Facility: Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, 5555 W Thunderbird Rd
• Weekend and holiday rotation requirements apply
• Possible float assignments to support other units as needed

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for patients across the PCU
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural dimensions
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Review patient history, diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Document all nursing interventions, assessments and patient responses in medical records
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans based on patient response to treatment
• Delegate appropriately and provide supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel
• Participate in patient and family education and discharge planning

Required Qualifications:

• Current valid RN license in the state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Experience in an acute care setting within the past 12 months
• Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
