PCU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 89-day travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit at BUMC Tucson, located at 1625 N Campbell Ave. You will work 3x12 hour day shifts and earn $2,570 per week.

Your Role:

You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for PCU patients according to organizational policies and professional nursing standards. Your responsibilities include reviewing patient histories and physical exams with patients and families, monitoring diagnostics and laboratory results, and reporting abnormal findings to physicians and care team members. You will formulate individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and medical requirements, implementing them through direct patient care, coordination, and delegation of healthcare team activities.

You will evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, adjusting the plan as needed. Accurate and timely documentation in patient records is essential. You may participate in unit or facility shared leadership initiatives and support staff education and orientation. Depending on staffing needs, you may float to other adult health units serving Med-Surg, PCU, or IMC patients.

Required Qualifications:

• Current, valid RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse in the PCU specialty area, with experience within the past 12 months
• Previous travel healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level I Trauma and large hospital experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification in your specialty
