PCU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 89-day travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at BUMC Tucson. You will work the night shift, 3 days per week at 12 hours per shift, earning $2,553 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care across two campuses, with primary assignment to BUMC Tucson (1625 N Campbell Ave). Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with organizational and professional nursing standards
• Reviewing patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; reporting abnormal findings to physicians and care team members
• Formulating and implementing individualized plans of care, including discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegating and supervising activities of licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members
• Evaluating patient and family responses to care and adjusting plans as needed
• Documenting all nursing care thoroughly

Assignment Details

You may float throughout approximately 16 adult health units at the primary campus, including expanded spaces in the Emergency Department (ED) or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) designated for adult inpatients awaiting unit beds. The secondary campus, located approximately 10 minutes away, includes 4–5 adult health units ranging from Observation to PCU depending on seasonal needs. You will maintain a varied work schedule as assignment demands require.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Acute care experience within the past 12 months as an RN in your specialty area
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
