Job Details:

• Varied work schedule
• Float throughout two campuses as part of a Resource Float Pool team providing support where necessary
• May be floated to any of approximately 16 Adult Health units on the main campus, including expanded spaces in the EDs or PACU spaces for Adult Health patients with inpatient orders waiting on unit beds
• Secondary campus is approximately a 10-minute drive away and includes 4-5 Adult Health units ranging from Observation to PCU depending on season
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Perform patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed health care team members
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently and may be required to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required, with experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months
• Previous travel experience required
• Current, valid RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
