PCU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a 89-week travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at BUMC Tucson. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, earning $2,570 weekly. Your start date is September 21, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care across a float pool model, supporting multiple adult health units on two campuses. Your primary responsibility is to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies and professional nursing standards. You will review patient histories, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and the care team. You will formulate individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members and delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members.

Work Environment

You will float throughout two campuses as part of a Resource Float Pool team. The main campus includes approximately 16 adult health units, with potential for support in expanded ED or PACU spaces for adult health patients. The secondary campus, located approximately 10 minutes away, includes four to five adult health units ranging from observation to PCU, depending on season.

Physical Requirements

You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You may be required to lift up to 75 pounds. You will use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required, with specialty area experience within the past 12 months
• Previous travel healthcare experience required
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
