PCU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at BUMC Tucson. This is a travel role with an 89-day assignment starting November 30, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: PCU – Progressive Care Unit
• Shift: 3x12 Nights (nights schedule)
• Schedule: Varied, with floating across two campuses
• Weekly Pay: $2,553
• Location: BUMC Tucson, 1625 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ, plus secondary campus approximately 10 minutes away

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care across approximately 16 Adult Health units at the primary campus, with potential assignment to expanded spaces in the ED or PACU for adult health patients awaiting inpatient bed placement. The secondary campus operates 4–5 adult health units ranging from Observation to PCU depending on seasonal needs. You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. Responsibilities include reviewing patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers; formulating and implementing individualized care plans with discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams; delegating and supervising licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members; and evaluating patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising plans as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience required
• Acute care experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area required
• Previous travel healthcare experience required

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification
