PCU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a 89-day travel assignment at BUMC Tucson, located at 1625 N Campbell Ave. You will work 3x12 night shifts and earn $2,570 per week.

Role Overview

You will join a new overflow unit task force, providing nursing care across overflow areas and other adult health units. You may float between Progressive Care, Med-Surg, Intermediate Care, and potentially South Campus as needed. Your clinical responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and implementing individualized care, evaluating outcomes, and documenting all nursing interventions according to organizational standards and professional practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments addressing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and care team members
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including discharge planning
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and healthcare personnel
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching; revise plans as needed
• Participate in shared leadership, staff education, and orientation of facility personnel
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience; experience within the past 12 months in your specialty area
• Previous travel healthcare experience required
• Level I Trauma and large hospital experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred; professional certification preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently; may lift up to 75 pounds
• Exposure to blood and bodily fluids; must use standard precautions
