About this role

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at BUMC Tucson. This is a 3-day, 12-hour night shift role with a contract duration of 89 days, beginning October 5, 2026.

Position Overview

You will float across two campuses to provide nursing support where needed. At the primary campus (1625 N Campbell Ave), you may be assigned to any of approximately 16 Adult Health units, including expanded spaces in the ED or PACU designated for adult health patients awaiting inpatient beds. The secondary campus, located approximately 10 minutes away, operates 4–5 adult health units ranging from Observation to PCU, depending on seasonal needs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards
  • Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
  • Formulate and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Delegate and supervise licensed and non-licensed health care team members
  • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise care plans as necessary

Requirements

  • Current, valid RN license in Arizona
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
  • Acute care experience within the past 12 months in the RN specialty area
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Professional certification preferred

Compensation and Schedule

Weekly pay: $2,570. Work schedule varies based on facility needs and campus assignments.
