PACU RN Job in Wichita, KS

Join Wesley Medical Center in Wichita as a travel RN in our Pre-Op and Post-Anesthesia Care unit. This is a 91-day assignment beginning April 21, 2026, working day shifts from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, three days per week at 12 hours per shift. You will earn $1,971 per week.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in a Pre-Op Holding and ASU environment with 9 pre-op beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing pre-op preparations for surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, EP, and CT patients
• Supporting Phase 2 recovery care for urology, GYN, and same-day surgery patients
• Managing outpatient infusions, EKGs, regional blocks, and blood transfusions
• Operating specialized equipment including Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, and bladder scanner
• Documenting patient care in the Meditech EMR system

You will maintain a patient ratio of 1:3 and collaborate closely with surgical teams, anesthesia staff, and support personnel to ensure safe, quality patient experiences.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior Meditech experience preferred

Schedule Details

Day shifts run 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You will also be required to work two 10-hour weekend on-call shifts every 8 to 9 weekends with a 30-minute response time.
