Opportunity:

RN - Pre Op

Job Details:

• Work 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM shift schedule
• Provide pre-operative care in Pre-Op Holding/ASU unit
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• On-call requirements with 30-minute response time when on-call
• Handle Phase 2 recoveries for Urology, GYN and other same-day surgery patients
• Provide pre-op care for surgery, endoscopy, catheter lab, electrophysiology, and CT patients
• Manage outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions
• Work with equipment including Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, and bladder scanner
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Minimum 1 year current acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Pre-op experience or ability to assist pre-op staff preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Strong focus on patient experience and communication with staff and providers
