ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Variable shift schedule with every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Work in a 23-bed emergency department staffed with all RN nurses, lobby and secretary techs
• Utilize standard ED equipment and document using Meditech system (experience preferred)
• Perform standard ED procedures in a Level IV trauma center
• Work in a primary stroke center and chest pain accredited facility with PCI (STEMI 24/7) capabilities
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS
• Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs required
• No artificial nails, gel, or next gen nails permitted; nails must be clean and healthy
• Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
• Shoes must be constructed of non-absorbent material with slip-resistant soles; breathable mesh athletic shoes without leather or man-made uppers are not permitted
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
