CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Philadelphia, PA

Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiac Vascular Operating Room (CVOR). This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 30, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• First week includes 5x8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday) for orientation; additional orientation time at 12-hour shifts if needed
• Staffing ratio: 1:2
• On-call requirement: 4 call shifts per 13-week contract; days and hours vary
• No holiday requirement
• May float to General, Urology, ENT, and other OR services when cardiac volume is low (approximately once per week)

Clinical Requirements

• Must scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases
• Required cardiac surgery experience: CABGs, aortic and mitral valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs
• Required vascular experience: EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, and open AAA
• Thoracic surgery experience preferred
• Patient population: adults and geriatrics

Credentials & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• PA or compact nursing license required
• BLS certification required
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

• Scrubs provided

Weekly pay: $2,976. Interested candidates should hold active licensure and relevant cardiac and vascular operating room experience.
