PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Details:

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with physical functioning disorders
• Work under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist
• Administer various procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers and other service providers
• Document all required information in electronic documentation system and maintain patient records
• Record treatment minutes for services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Attend facility and company required trainings, in-services and conferences
• Work with supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary DME or supplies
• Supervise and support students under Physical Therapist guidance
• No on-call responsibilities required
• No weekend schedule required
• 1+ years of PTA experience required
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• Active PTA license required
• New graduates considered with Level II experience
• Must adhere to APTA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
