Radiation Therapist Job in San Angelo, TX

Shannon Medical Center is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our Radiology and Cardiology department in San Angelo, Texas. This is a 91-day travel assignment running five 8-hour days per week, with a start date of September 21, 2026. Weekly compensation is $2,880.

Role Overview

You will treat an adult outpatient population with a daily census of approximately 31 patients. You'll work within a 2-room department alongside an established team of four Radiation Therapists. This position offers hands-on experience with advanced equipment and collaborative clinical practice.

Equipment & Technology

• Operate two Varian Edge TrueBeam units with CBCT/kV/MV OBI imaging capabilities
• Utilize AlignRT surface guidance system for treatment alignment
• Work with Siemens goOpenPro CT Simulation equipment
• Chart using ARIA/Varis Vision system (proficiency preferred)

Treatment Techniques & Skills

You will perform DIBH, SBRT, IMRT/VMAT treatment techniques and apply expertise in external beam therapy, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, and radiation safety protocols. Respiratory gating experience and knowledge of billing for treatment types and devices are preferred qualifications.

Team & Support

You'll collaborate with an on-site full-time Physics and Dosimetry team, providing clinical depth and support throughout your assignment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3 years strongly preferred
• Graduation from an accredited radiology program
• Current ARRT (T) certification and BLS certification
• Residence more than 110 miles from the facility
• Travel experience highly preferred
