Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Oncology

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with available shift times of 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Night shift position with every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement as needed
• First to float to other Med Surg units; may float to ER holds occasionally, no mom baby unit
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6
• Care for adult and geriatric patients including oncology patients requiring chemotherapy administration
• Common diagnoses include strokes, HTN, COPD, cellulitis, CHF, A-fib non RVR, chest pain, MI post-ICU, AMS/behavioral, and surgical overflow
• Required to titrate drips including Lasix and Heparin
• Experience with trach and BiPAP preferred but not required
• Tele packs available with monitor techs on unit to read and interpret strips
• Charge nurse available as a resource on both shifts
• Nurse aides and patient care techs available at a 1:8 ratio
• Charting system: EPIC
• No specific scrub color required
• Required certifications: BLS Certification, NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Valid state license required for submission
