PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Guaranteed hours included
• On call up to 15 days per month
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Prior travel experience required; no local candidates accepted
• Required certifications: NM RN Licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Provide shift accountability for care of Post Anesthesia Care Unit patients
• Collaborate with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Surgical staff, and other personnel
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and hospital policy and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for safe delivery of care
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
