PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM on a schedule of 4, 10-hour rotating shifts
• Full-time position
• Weekend requirement: 2 weekends of 12-hour call shifts per month (Saturday/Sunday counts as 1 weekend)
• On-call requirement: one night call per week
• Float to other units within surgical services as needed
• Use EPIC electronic medical records system
• Dress code: Graphite Gray Scrubs
• Obtain and record initial patient assessments and establish priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
• Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
• Develop and implement individualized, measurable plans of care within established nursing standards
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and evaluations of patient outcomes
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program required
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• Current BLS via AHA Certification required
• Current ACLS via AHA Certification required
• Current PALS via AHA Certification required
