About this role
CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on a travel assignment. You'll work day shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM on a rotating schedule of 4, 10-hour shifts, with a weekly pay of $2,430. The assignment is 91 days, starting August 17, 2026.
Shift and Schedule
- 4x10 day shifts
- 2 weekend shifts (12-hour call shifts) required per month, with Saturday and Sunday counting as 1 weekend
- One night on-call shift required per week
- Full-time position
Your Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
- Obtain and record initial assessments and establish priorities according to patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends that require intervention
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients
- Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and evaluations of patient outcomes
- Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
- Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs
- Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
- Use EPIC electronic medical records system
- May be required to float to other units within surgical services
Requirements
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
- BLS (AHA) certification
- ACLS (AHA) certification
- PALS (AHA) certification
Additional Information
Dress code requires Graphite Gray Scrubs. You'll be part of a surgical services team committed to providing comprehensive postoperative care and supporting patients through their recovery phase.
