ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 2:45 PM to 3:15 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Must be available to be scheduled any day of the week
• Must be able to work holidays as needed
• No floating required
• Position is remote/non-hands-on; no direct patient care involved
• Facilitate patient transfers from hospitals within and outside of the organization
• Handle cases after intake process including patient assessments, vitals, and clinical information
• Locate accepting physicians and specialist doctors and request beds at appropriate facilities
• Manage an average of 12 cases per shift, working on 10-15 cases at a time
• Coordinate with hospitals from various locations
• Utilize multiple computer applications including Cerner, TeleTracking, Tiger Connect, and Google apps
• Cerner or EPIC experience preferred
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of ICU, ED, or transfer center experience
• Must have acute care experience and critical care assessment skills
• Must demonstrate good clinical judgment and ability to follow algorithms
• Must be professional with strong customer service skills and ability to multitask
• Strong computer skills required with ability to learn multiple applications quickly
• Required certifications: BLS Certification
• Active RN license required
• BSN not required
• Scrubs of any clean and professional color required; business casual attire also acceptable including jeans without rips, tears, or holes and clean hoodies without large writing
• 1 day of general hospital orientation followed by 3-5 days of department-specific orientation; training may be conducted on any shift
• Time-off requests should be very limited to none as accommodations are rarely available
